Film based resources on tough teenage social issues that can be used to support PSHE, Citizenship, Life Skills, English and Literacy.
Recent City riots has made teenage offending behaviour an issue for all teachers and youth workers. Our Young Offender resource provides a thirty minute film following one young offender. Decisions that can change your life, consequences, victims and anger are some of the topics raised. This resource couldn't be more relevant for the autumn term.
Dramatic Media produces a range of resources that feature emotionally engaging, original film drama. We write and produce all of our films, which are based on social issues that are relevant to young people. The characters, events and issues raised in the films are the focus for curriculum-mapped activities.
Dramatic Media's PSHE resources are also relevant to learners outside mainstream education (PRUs, YOTs, YOIs and special units) and as training tools for those agencies that work in areas of social care involving young people. Our aim is to promote a 'wider literacy' through the use of film drama.
