Secondary Resources

English and the Media is a visually exciting resource that supports the delivery of non-fiction and media focused learning for English and Key Stage 3.  The resource enables pupils to analyse and understand how  the English language, written and spoken, is used by the media.

This is an exciting interactive resource for English at upper Key Stage 3 (Post SATs, Yr 9 recommended) and Key Stage 4.  Pupils take on the role of an investigative journalist searching for the truth behind the diappearance of a football star.  The resource supports all of the media focus for GCSE English and provides structured speaking and listening assignments.

An engaging resource that uses film drama and talk activities, to inspire discussion and writing. There are two sets of activities aimed at different learners: 1. Activities designed as progression units for KS3 year 7 students, and 2. Activities aimed at adult learners progressing from Functional Skills Entry Level 3 to Level 1 Writing.

This creative resource is designed to enable pupils to compare novel text, filmscript and film.

Teachers can use the materials to create inspiring lessons and projects for KS2 and KS3 or as an exciting Transition Unit.
